biography
David Burrows. Born in Nairobi in 1959. He studied at Liverpool
University and has a PhD and BSc in Physics. Currently working
in research.
I enjoy reading fantasy novels and in my own novel I
wanted to recreate the sense of the unknown and wonder we all
experienced as children.

The world is periodically attacked by demons and at the
time of the tale attacks are rare and the people complacent. Garlands
and wards protect doors and windows, reminding the people of the past
terrors. Their saviours in the past were the Eldric, but ashamed of
their part in a terrible war some hundreds of years ago, they have
mysteriously disappeared from the world, leaving the remaining
inhabitants vulnerable and ignorant of a future threat.
